Profile of a Dedicate upcoming singer A. F. Al Imran (Sajib)

A. F. Al Imran (Sajib) is a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. He was born in 1983 and his involvement with music was from the very beginning of his childhood. Getting inspired by his mom & elder sister, he used to enjoy all types of music and songs and tried to copy that with his own voice; thereby, he actually started his singing. As he started exploring his music talent, he had face a big limitation that was with his voice which was not as clear as most of the other child and he could not get approach for formal musical training. It was in such extent that doctor had said that he might have to take an operation to his throat to overcome this, but his father didn't agree to do that, as Sajib was just five or six then. Beyond all these limitations, he tried to sing with his disturbed voice all the time! The affection to music increased day by day and God blessed him for his singing passion. But, unfortunately he did not get any chance to get real academic lesson in music as there was much pressure of study throughout his education life and also for some financial limitations of his father.

Being a youth of this generation, at the initial stage during 1993~94, he was very much inspired by Rabindra Shangeet, Folk songs, Songs by the artists from the West Bengal like Hemanta, S. D Barman, Anup Jalota, Jagjeet Sing, Shumon Chatterjee, Nachiketa, Anjan Dutta. Inside Bangladesh, He has been listening to Tapan Chowdhury, Kumar Bishwajit, Shakila Jafar, Sayed Abdul Hadi, Shubir Nandi; Band music such as Warfaze, LRB, Souls, Nagar Baul, Miles, Feedback, Dalchhut. His Cousin Porag encouraged him much to collect and listen those various type of songs. Sajib had inherent talent that would allow him to sing with perfect rhythm instead of not having any academic lesson. He wishes that one day he would be the music composer. Presently he does compose with his mobile set and he will do that with harmonium and mini key-board as he is highly fascinated especially towards Key-board. He was inspired by Western Music Also Like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, John Denver, Guns n Roses, Michael Learns, Michael Jackson, Scorpions and instrumentals like Enigma, Yanny, Kenny G.

After a little journey, finally, Sajib got the chance to expose his singing talent at his university period. During his B.Sc from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, he got himself involved with a non-political cultural organization named 'Joyoddhoney' which has been totally maintained by CUET students. He performed solo songs at almost over thirty programs and duet songs and also in chorus. He also played Key-Board at different Cultural Programs. He used to perform not only inside his campus but also at IEB (Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh), Shilpokola Academy, D.C hill etc in Chittagong Town. He was an active organizer also, as he was the General Secretary of Joyoddhoney for one and a half years. During his final year of the graduation, he took lesson at Key-Board Playing for eight months from Iqbal Ahmed Rony, the well-known Key-boardist from the Band 'Triangle'. But Like Singing, his Key Board playing has been stopped after entering the hard Job life at Dhaka. With all these limitations, he has got a dream inside that one day he will become a successful and renowned Key-Board player and become music composer.

Talents appear through one’s artistic soul and A.F. Al Imran Sajib is the example of it.
